Buyers Beware

 As you all have been aware of the new reproductions of DeLizza & Elster Juliana Jewelry coming out of China and Hong Kong, we have another twist to the unscrupulous money seekers. They are taking old genuine setting or mountings and replacing the stones.  When you find multiply prongs missing on a piece or the plating popped off, bent settings or mountings, pliers marks,  prying marks on lower tiers could be from prying to get the old stone out and to get the new one in, stones that don’t  fit the setting quite right or are larger or smaller for the setting or mounting. Also look for  unusual color schemes not consistent with  other sets seen by this designer or to the era.  Just remember to look at the pictures very well and if you can’t see it very well ask questions, I have some pictures below so you can see the differences.
